Ron has been practicing in the areas of real estate and corporate/commercial law since 1991. He has experience in most types of commercial transactions and matters, from complex large value transactions to day to day contractual and general business matters. As part of the Sorbara Law team he is able to draw on the expertise of experienced specialized lawyers to advise on a diverse range of issues arising in a family business as well as the more generalized and cost effective expertise of young lawyers, students and law clerks.

In the course of his practice, Ron regularly acts for a diverse range of business enterprises involved in such commercial activities as sales and distribution, manufacturing, land development, software and other product development, construction and finance. He provides legal advice and services at all stages of commercial transactions, from initial negotiations, to the drafting of agreements, contracts and other transactional documents, to final closing. Significant areas of practice include, financing where he acts for both borrowers and institutional lenders, land development from the initial purchase of raw land to the registration of subdivision and condominium plans to final builder sales, commercial leasing, drafting and review of contracts and business structuring including, incorporations, partnerships and joint ventures.

Ron is also active in his community and over the years he has served on numerous boards and committees. Presently he serves on the boards of a local church and private high school and is a counselor in a boys group.
